1.0 Obtaining

Spawners are can be obtained in survival mode. 

1.1 Breaking

If broken by a player with a pickaxe type, it still drops 15-43 experience level that can be picked up, it will also drop a single Spawner Fragment (affect by fortune) or it can drop itself if Silk Touch is used.

1.2 Crafting

A spawner is crafted using 4 Spawner Fragment in a 2x2 crafting grid (similar to a crafting table).

When the player right-clicks a mob spawner while holding a Soul in the main hand (such as a Zombie Soul, Skeleton Soul, Spider Soul, Cave Spider Soul or Blaze  Soul), the spawner data will change to only spawn that specific mob. This allows players to repurpose existing spawners or move them to a new location using the mob souls they collect.
